We were having an early morning walk. And as always, there are unexpected things happening that force us to change our plans. There was something strange hanging to the bathtub that we use to give water to our ewes. We looked closer and it turned out to be a little owl (Athene noctua). It had fallen into the water during the night and had tried to escape through the upper hole. I thought that it was dead but M. noticed that it was still alive. I took it out carefully. It was totally soaked and a little bit surprised to see us. Was it wounded? It turned out not to be: after two days, it flew away! Little owls are one of our three owls species at the farm and we just love them.
