Churra Algarvia em Algoz (Silves)

Trip to the Algarve again at the beginning of this month, to go and select with JI, a few more Churra Algarvia ewes for our herd. Down there, José Coelho is taking care with Sr. Carlos and another colleague of a herd of around 400 animals, set up some 60 years ago by his dad. They graze in the middle of the orange plantations. Some of them are covered with a thin layer of clay dust that gives them an amazing color. And José's rams have won several contests for their "chapeu", the pride of Churra Algarvia breeders.
