We got very few misty days during the winter break. On one of those mornings, I took the bike early and stopped at a few trees pruned last winter on my way to the farm, enjoying this magic light. In front of the first large holm oak (
Quercus rotundifolia), you can see some branch nests prepared to protect very young oak trees against sheep. Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (
FMNR) in progress... This winter, we pruned more than 70 young oak trees.
